Domivis Swim Debuts First Collection During Miami Art Basel With A Splash Of 2000s Nostalgia

December 2024—Miami Beach, FL | The waves were more than just sea foam on Miami Beach this weekend—they were rippling with excitement as Domivis Swim officially unveiled its highly-anticipated first collection in front of over 100 attendees during Art Basel. Founded by designer and creative visionary, Lola Dominguez, “The It Girl’s Swim Brand" has already made waves blending playful femininity with a nostalgic nod to the iconic 2000s era.

In a playful and flirtatious runway show, the Domivis team debuted the Sweet Life collection, featuring 20 mix-and-match looks inspired by Lola’s "It Girl" fantasy—which she describes as a dreamy, sun-kissed ode to femininity, with inspiration from 2000s icons like Paris Hilton, Elle Woods and Playboy bunnies and 2024 icons like Sabrina Carpenter and Sydney Sweeney.

“I wanted a brand that was playful yet impactful—one that gives women permission to embrace their "It Girl" fantasy. This brand is about stepping into your power and owning every part of your femininity,” Lola explains.

The collection featured a playful and vibrant color palette inspired by Dominguez’s childhood favorites like the Powerpuff Girls and Sour Patch Watermelon candies. Though her inspiration was fueled by childhood nostalgia, the collection didn’t sacrifice an ounce of sex appeal with the minimal coverage bikinis. There was also an emphasis on versatility with several multi-way tie tops and reversible bikini options

“This collection is a love letter to the women who inspire me,” said Dominguez. “I wanted to create something that gives permission to be fun, flirty and embrace every part of your femininity and sexuality.”

The runway show was hosted at Digital Haus Studios in the heart of Wynwood, produced by Revive Fashion Week, with support from brands like Poppi, Ice Cream Sunscreen and Glo Up Mia, who sponsored the event. Attendees enjoyed the show, champagne, and exclusive shopping right off the runway.

The Sweet Life Collection is available now at www.domivis.com. Fans are encouraged to get their hands on these pieces while they’re available—and to keep their eyes peeled for what comes next from the rising brand.
